Navigable River Remediation Completed a Year Ahead of Schedule

Date: March 19, 2024

ENTACT performed remediation activities to address tar-like material from historical MGP operations commingled with sediment at a historically significant Civil War Site along a navigable river. The team implemented a project plan that shortened the project by one year while strictly adhering to federal, state, and local permit requirements.

ENTACT assisted the Client’s archaeologist with historical Civil War artifact recovery for studying and displaying at a local museum.

ENTACT is proud to have been an integral part of protecting South Carolina’s environment and natural resources by removing over 2.5 tons of debris and 35,000 tons of tar-impacted sediment from a predominant waterway in the city’s downtown area.
